Intervention care.

Another form of care is intervention care. Offering help without the client wanting [to ask for] it.

Characteristic: there is no explicit call for help (homeless, addiction care, psychiatry).
The counsellor informs the client that he is going to provide help. Maybe the client is not able to come up with a request for help, let alone express it. As a counsellor, you do not have to stand idly by and watch the client slip away. The counsellor takes the initiative, usually in the light of prevention. Another advantage may be that the client does not have to take that first difficult step, sometimes a client needs just that little push. Of course, the client has rights, including the right to refuse help.

Working method:
- Make contact.
- Establishing rapport and gaining trust.
- Occasionally solving a problem, expanding trust.
- Realizing trust, realizing contact loyalty.
- Work with a plan.
- Evaluation.
- End the working relationship and redefine it for the future.
